Dayton Hudson Visiting Critics

The Design Center provides support for urban designers to act as studio and capstone critics in architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning classes. Critics should interact with students in at least two different classes or over a whole day in large multi-section classes. To apply for funds to pay airfare, up to two nights in a hotel, other expenses, and an honorarium, email the Design Center with:

  • Name of the critic,
  • A brief bio indicating their significant urban design experience (either in practice or as academics)
  • The specific studios or capstones with which they will interact
  • Proposed budget, indicating amount requested from the Design Center

Collaborative submissions from two or more faculty members are encouraged. The maximum amount granted for one visit is $1,300. There is a maximum honorarium.
