Direct Design Assistance: Web Site, Active Living Ramsey County, MN, 2005

Active Living Ramsey County (ALRC) is an Active Living initiative to bring about and sustain changes in design, transportation and public/private policies to cultivate and support a way of life that integrates physical activity into daily routines in Ramsey County, Minnesota.

For this Direct Design Assistance project, the Design Center worked with ALRC to develop a website design to disseminate resources and information to stakeholders and residents of Ramsey County. Using an intuitive, yet modern, site design with clear organizational structure, the site was designed to be flexible for the ALRC's changing needs. The dynamic color scheme, and use of images of Active Living in Ramsey County keep the visitor visually engaged while remaining sensitive to visitors with slower internet connections.

Website: The newest version of the site is located here.

Outcome: The web site was incorporated into the web site of Ramsey County.

Credits: The project team included Joanne Richardson, Ann Forsyth, and Katie Thering.
