In May 2007 the Design Center did a helicopter flight to take aerial photography of the Twin Cities area. Several communities were photographed to illustrate areas of development, major transportation corridors, and parks and open space. These communities are currently revising their comprehensive plans, and it felt it would be useful to have aerial photographs to help understand the relationships and patterns in their communities. The Design Center created a PowerPoint for each city that was photographed. The photographs can be used for planning purposes or to illustrate documents and/or flyers.
Each PowerPoint starts with a map indicating the area illustrated in later slides.
