Beyond the Open House and Focus Group: Community Engagement Methods
that Really Work

Co-sponsored with the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs, this well-attended workshop examined the Speak Out, an innovative approach to community engagement used in Australia and overseas. The Speak Out involves a highly structured, heavily staffed open house. The workshop also teased out the practical applications of this approach for use in the field.
