Past Projects : 2001 – 2003 : Northeast Blaine Planning Study

The study area, which currently lies outside the Twin Cities Metropolitan Urban Services Area (MUSA), must meet the Metropolitan Council’s regional smart growth goals to be included in a future expansion of the MUSA. The Design Center worked with city of Blaine to identify strategies for meeting those goals, and enhancing community and environment, within the interests of both citizens and developers.

The Northeast Blaine Planning Study won a 2003 Honor Award for Planning from the Minnesota Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
