Non-motorized Pilot Project Evaluation

Working with the Center for Transportation Studies, the Metropolitan Design Center is helping evaluate the Non-motorized Transportation Pilot Project (NTPP). Funded under Section 1807 of the federal SAFETEA-LU legislation, this project provides funding to four U.S. communities­Columbia, Missouri; Marin County, California; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. Interventions will include constructing non-motorized transportation facilities and promoting their use.

The Design Center is contributing expertise on pedestrian and health issues.
