Past Projects : 2004 - 2007 : Minneapolis Corridor Housing Initiative

Convened by the Center for Neighborhoods, this project brought together neighborhoods, a technical team, and city staff to develop a strategy for attracting well-designed, higher-density and affordable housing to transit corridors. The Design Center helped plan the overall initiative, developed educational materials, participated in corridor steering committees, and helped run workshops in neighborhoods including the innovative block exercise.

Information from both phases of the corridor housing initiative and from other related projects is available at http://www.housinginitiative.org.
