"Visualizing the Future of Mass Transit"
Transit in Chicago has moved from a period of decline to a period of substantial growth. Much of this growth is being directed and managed with the help of spatial information technologies such as multimedia and GIS. This highly animated talk will graphically illustrate how new analysis tools developed in the academic environment are being put to work in the professional environment to affect substantial change. It will also illustrate "where we've been" and "where we're going" with our capacity to link dynamic visual images, sound, and text to maps in order to provide rich descriptions of our communities for policy makers.

Seminar: Tuesday, September 23, 12:00-1:30p.m. in room 225 Rapson Hall. Feel free to bring a bag lunch.
